Jaundice occurs when red blood cells break down and become anemic.

Causes

Iron deficiency can lead to anemia. In addition, even if the red blood cells are broken, this can happen. Chronic diseases such as kidney failure, liver failure, thyroid gland problems, arthritis, tuberculosis and various diseases can lead to anemia. Anemia can be caused by hemoglobin’s own disease such as thalassemia and many more. However, iron deficiency anemia is the most common in the world.
